This section is about WIRES & TUBES.

CygX1 has published an excellent tutorial about wire and tube flames here. Using this, it is possible to make some very interesting flames and I give examples here. As usual, all flames are accompanied by their parameters so you can load them directly into your copy of Apophysis and experiment further.

Here is a simple example. The sphere is formed by a blur variation in triangle 1 and the wires are made with a julian variation in triangle 2. Click on the flame if you want to see and try the parameters yourself.

By changing the julian variable, the number of the wires can be increased. In the flame above it is set to 30. In this one it is increased to 150. Nothing else has changed.

Click flame if you want to download parameters and see what has changed.

In this one, the julian variable has been increased to 10000! This has the effect of running all the wires together and forming a 'tube'.

In several of the examples given later, both wire and tube types are available with the same flame graphic so you can compare the effect and experiment further.
